Moisture increases this week leading to a chance of rain

Clouds will be persistent this week as moisture increases, leading to a slight chance of light showers each day.  Nights will be muggy, only dropping into the low to mid 70s while days will be warm and humid, reaching the low to mid 80s near the coast and near 90 inland. Our best chance of rain arrives Friday as a weak surface front moves in.

Tonight:  Lows will only drop into the mid 70s under cloudy skies as breezy southeast winds continue at 18-25 mph. There is a chance of a light shower late tonight but rain amounts would be low.

Tuesday: We’ll have a mostly cloudy, humid, windy and warm day with a slight chance of a light shower. High temperatures will range from near 80 at the beaches to the mid to upper 80s with south-southeast winds at 20-25 mph, gusting up to 38 mph.

Extended: Moisture continues to move in with our southeasterly winds each day, keeping the clouds in place. There is a shower chance Wednesday and Thursday with high temperatures reaching into the mid to upper 80s. A weak cold front will approach the area Friday, giving us a better chance of showers and t-storms Friday and again Saturday. These will be scattered and there will still be plenty of dry time to enjoy Buc Days activities through the weekend. Sunday looks like the driest day of the weekend with only an isolated shower chance and high temperatures in the low to mid 80s while overnight lows stay near 70 degrees.
