CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Skies will be generally fair through the work week as a series of cold fronts keeps the temperature roller coaster ride going over the Coastal Bend. The mercury will rise to the lower 70s Tuesday before another strong front arrives Tuesday night. No rain is expected with this system. The rapid succession of storm systems across the country, from west to east, will not allow enough time for Gulf moisture to build up ahead of a cold front arriving late Tuesday night, so no rain is expected here. After a chilly midweek, some warming prevails Thursday through Saturday, but another front arrives late Saturday. That one will have enough moisture and lift for scattered thunderstorms. Highs will remain in the 60s to lower 70s, with lows generally in the 40s, except upper 30s early Wednesday and upper 50s early Saturday.
