CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — A weak cold front will ease into the Coastal Bend late Tuesday and bring isolated showers that will persist into the pre-dawn hours Wednesday. Don't expect much in the way of cooling ( upper 80s instead of lower 90s, but anything will help ease the stifling heat index values. In the longer term, the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center is forecasting between 1/2 and 1.5 inches of rain in our parched Nueces River watershed. This may help our lakes, which are in dire condition at a combined 15.1 percent of capacity.
More heat and humidity on Tuesday, without much rainfall through the coming week.
