CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — After several days with above normal afternoon temperatures, a strong cold front late Thursday night promises a significant cool-down and scattered showers. Following a dry weekend, more rain chances return the first of next week. The cold front diving into the Lone Star State on Thursday will draw a southerly wind into the Coastal Bend, which will push temperatures well into the 90s but bring no rainfall. Scattered showers are expected Thursday night as the front comes through, then overrunning clouds, cooler air and showers will prevail through your Friday. Following a generally dry weekend, another disturbance brings scattered showers and mild temperatures Monday through Wednesday of next week.
