Rain chances are no slam dunk this weekend

Some showers and even a few storms will be possible this weekend, but there’s still some uncertainty in the forecast. Stay up to date with things through the weekend as the forecast evolves.

Saturday: Best chance is in the A.M.

On Friday night, scattered storms are expected to develop near the Rio Grande. They are likely to push to the east toward the Coastal Bend. The storms will weaken as they move east, but the question is—will they make it to the Coastal Bend? The further northwest you are in the area, the better your odds of seeing rain.

A few pop up storms will be possible in the afternoon, but not likely.

Sunday: Another possibility of seeing rain

More pop up storms will be possible on Sunday, but it’s too early to give a timeline for them.

If any storms develop, they will have the potential to be on the strong side.
