The mild and muggy air over the Coastal Bend will lead to the chance of a few storms developing on Wednesday night. The chances aren’t great, but we can’t write it off.

Wednesday’s forecast

Cloudy skies will remain, and so will the humidity. Fortunately, the clouds will keep the temperatures from getting too warm—highs in the 70s. The winds will also be breezy, and a stray shower can’t be ruled out.

By the evening and overnight hours, a storm or two will have the potential to develop. The weather pattern won’t guarantee storm formation, but if a storm forms, it could be on the strong side. The best chances for a storm will be for northern areas of the Coastal Bend.

Thursday’s forecast

A cold front will blow through the area early Thursday, ushering in sunny conditions for the rest of the day. Temperatures will top out in the mid-70s, but enjoy this day while it’s here. Changes will be here soon enough.

The weekend

It’s still a ways away, but next weekend is looking to bring some significant changes to the area.  We’ll go from mild and muggy for Christmas to cold and damp by the weekend. Stay tuned!
