Monday’s Forecast

Hopefully you enjoyed the warm weekend because time has just about run out. The strongest cold front so far this season is moving through Texas, and with it comes cold and wet weather.

Monday’s forecast

A cold front will be headed toward the Coastal Bend on Monday morning. The front will split the day into two parts. We’ll start the day warm and humid in the 70s and 80s. Then the cold front will move through. It remains to be seen how quickly the cold front will move, but it is likely to move through between sunrise and late-morning.

Once the cold front hits, temperatures plummet by 20 to 30 degrees. Furthermore, as the front passes, a line of storms is likely as well. A couple of these storms could be on the strong side. During the afternoon, clouds and light rain are expected with temperatures falling throughout the day. By evening, temperatures look to be in the 50s with windy conditions and rain possible. It’s going to definitely feel chilly outside.

While not guaranteed, there is a high probability that the front will move through after heading to work and school. You’ll want to be sure to send the kids to school with a jacket because the warm morning will turn into a chilly, windy, and wet afternoon.

Through Mid-week

The chance of rain will stick around through the middle of the week, as will the cooler temperatures. Expect it to remain cool feeling through Wednesday, with either no or very little sunshine to warm things up.
