The heat goes nowhere

Posted

The typical summertime high pressure system that is currently sitting over Texas does not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon.  This means that the hot and dry conditions are going to be with us for the majority of the next week.

Wednesday’s forecast

More heat is on the way for Wednesday. Temperatures will climb to the upper 90s, and the high humidity will only make it feel worse. Expect lots of sunshine with a few clouds floating by now and then.

The rest of the week

The rest of the week is looking rather boring weatherwise. High pressure will continue to be anchored firmly in place over the state. By the weekend, the high pressure may move very slightly to the east, but this will only drop temperatures a degree or two. Besides the heat, the final weekend of summer vacation should cooperate with all the outdoor plans.
