Today’s We’re Open report takes us to a very popular eatery in the Annaville area.
Big Sam’s Grill is located at the corner of Leopard and McKenzie at 10514 Leopard.
They specialize in wings, burgers and chicken fried steak.
After owning several Asian restaurants, owner Linda Xac decided to run a homestyle restaurant 12 years ago. She said the change was a bit of a challenge.
“As a minority owner I had a lot to learn," she said. "Had to learn the culture. When I first opened I visited several restaurants to check out burgers, wings, chicken fried steak whatever food it took because I never had (them) before.”
Well, she obviously learned well as she's still in business 12 years later and open to feed hungry Coastal Benders now.
