A new study is suggesting that walking speed may predict the odds of survival among cancer patients.

Researchers tracked over 230,000 middle aged and older adults for several years. They found cancer survivors overall tend to have a slower walking pace, but those with the slowest pace were two times more likely to die than those with the fastest pace.

Scientists are looking at how physical activity programs may increase survival rates among cancer patients.
