CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The driver killed in an accident north of Riviera Monday afternoon has been identified.
DPS Troopers say 57-year-old Fernando Martinez Ochoa of Edinburg was driving a pickup truck the wrong way on US-77 when the crash happened.

Ochoa was headed south on the northbound lane when he crashed into the rear axle of an 18-wheeler.
Ochoa died at the scene.
The semi-trailer truck driver was not injured.
Investigators ruled out distracted driving as a cause after looking at Ochoa's phone but still do not know what caused him to veer into the wrong lane.
