The teenage boy accused of shooting at customers at a busy southside gas station last week is behind bars.

Corpus Christi Police say the 16-year old boy was one of three teens who were caught shoplifting at the Stripes store on the 6800 block of Everhart Road at Snowgoose Road Friday morning.

Investigators say a customer confronted the teens, One of them threatened to attack the customer. After an employee asked them to leave, they ran across the street and police say that's when the 16-year old boy fired three shots toward the gas pumps where customers were fueling up.

Luckily, no one was hurt,

According to Corpus Christi Police Department's Public Information Senior Officer Travis Pace, officers found the armed teen the next morning. Pace said around 2 a.m. Saturday, officers were responding to a call for a suspicious person at an apartment complex on the 6700 block of Everhart Road.

When officers arrived, they realized the suspicious person was actually the teen they had been looking for and arrested him. Due to his age, they are not allowed to release his name. Senior Officer Pace said the teen has not been charged yet and officers are still looking for the two other teens involved.

All three are believed to have been involved in an attempted beer run on Friday morning. Investigators believe they may be behind several auto burglaries on Snowgoose Road.
