CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Students in the Corpus Christi Independent School District returned to school this morning.
For some, it's not just the start of a new school year, it's the start of a new year in a brand new school.
CCISD has three reconstructed schools, Windsor Park Elementary School, Baker Middle School, and Cunningham Middle School.
On Monday morning, Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez toured Windsor Park.
"Lots of excitement, you know it's something that we were just excited about when we were able to get all the support for the bonds and then breaking ground, seeing the construction going up the past couple of years really excited for our students and our families and our community," said Hernandez.
Hernandez asks parents at the new schools to be patient the next several weeks as they learn the new layouts and adjust to the traffic and parking situations.
