CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A new program at Crockett Elementary School has students and educators excited.
On Thursday, they were placed into different houses to promote student achievement. Students spun a wheel and where it landed decided which house they would be a part of for the entire school year. There are four houses: House of Givers, House of Friendship, House of Courage, and House of Dreamers.
There will be a point system throughout the year, so students can earn points based on behavior and grades. The principal says she hopes this will create a sense of belonging on campus and camaraderie among students.
