PORT ARANSAS, Texas — A fisherman has been missing in local waters since Sunday. The Coast Guard continues to search for him. The search began Sunday when the Coast Guard were notified that the fisherman was missing a little before 11 a.m. Crews continue to look for him Monday.
According to the Coast Guard, the fisherman was last seen aboard his boat around 4 a.m. on Sunday. Roughly six hours later, his boat was found anchored about 25 miles from the Port Aransas coast. The man was not on-board. The Coast Guard has deployed a cutter, a helicopter and an airplane to help with the search.
The Coast Guard is not releasing the fisherman's identity at this time.
