The Alice High School Band played in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington DC today.
They played a medley of the Armed Forces marches and, “The Grand Old Flag.”

They were actually one of only three that got the opportunity to play in the National Memorial Day Parade.
Before they left for DC, band director Arnold Garza told us his band was nominated by Congressman Filemon Vela Junior and they gladly accepted.
The band practiced long and hard in the weeks leading up to the big parade.
The community and South Texas is proud of these young individuals for representing their school and state on a very important day for our nation.
