Next time you’re doing some grocery shopping at your H-E-B, you’ll want to pick up some Choco Coco Twisters. The new limited-edition H-E-B treat is two chocolate cookies filled with coconut crème and bits of real coconut candy flakes. If that’s not enough to get you to buy a package, H-E-B will donate five percent of the proceeds to help people affected by Texas disasters through the American Red Cross.
H-E-B Choco Coco Twisters are on sale now and will be available throughout the summer. The package artwork is full of fun summer colors with beach symbols of palm trees, beaches, piers, and signs that say Galveston, Port Aransas, and Rockport. According to a press release from H-E-B, the cookies are among more than 1,000 H-E-B Select Ingredients products made without artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, and hundreds of other synthetic ingredients.
H-E-B says this is the first time proceeds from H-E-B Twisters will benefit a cause. The fundraising effort was motivated by the strength and fortitude shown throughout the state after Hurricane Harvey battered coastal communities throughout Texas such as Houston and the Golden Triangle, Rockport, Galveston, and Port Aransas.
