With the new Harbor Bridge construction underway, homeowners, landlords, neighborhood businesses or churches in theHillcrest and Washington-Coles area have a big decision to make.
The deadline to express interest for theVoluntary Acquisition and Relocation Program is tomorrow, May 7th.
TxDOT partnered with the Port of Corpus Christi and the City to makethis program happen; in response to a civil rights settlement filed by residents in the area where the new Harbor Bridge will be.
As of a month ago, Del Richardson and Associates have confirmed 228 homes that have been assisted in relocation using the program and that 362 residents have expressed interest.
