A man spent his Monday cleaning up a mess left behind at his neighborhood park. Dilwork Park near the intersection of Greenwood and Tarlton was packed with people celebrating Easter yesterday. But Octavio Recio Jr. says not all of them cleaned up after themselves. So he picked up cups, empty beer cans, plates and other trash left behind. He also complained to the City, but he was told that there’s not much they can do.
“They said they don’t know if I knew the persons who did it and I told them no so there’s nothing they can do about it so they’re gonna send park and recreation to come and clean it up,” Recio told us.
Recio says some people also drove onto the park grounds which is against a city ordinance. He plans to call the police if he spots anyone doing that again.
