Firefighters visiting from Mexico wrapped up a week-long training session with the Corpus Christi Fire Department today.
More than 20 firefighters spent the past week with CCFD learning new techniques to rescue people from collapsed buildings.
Some of the firefighters have trained here before, but after a recent earthquake in Mexico, they wanted to come back for more specific training.
“This is an effort by our fire department to help firefighters from other municipalities to train and to work as a team in order achieve mission,” said CCFD Chief Robert Rocha.
The crew will now go back to teach their fellow firefighters what they learned.
