Corpus Christi police arrested a 32-year-old woman after a fatal shooting on the city’s south side.
The incident happened just after 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning at a home on the 400 block of Homecrest Street.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 21-year-old female with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Officers were able to track down a suspect in that shooting, a 32-year-old female, to a home in the 7200 block of Sebastian Court.
Swat teams were called due to the scene being considered active an dangerous.
Corpus Christi police arrested the woman after they convinced her to come out of the house.
While authorities say there was a disturbance that led up to the shooting, the incident is still being investigated.
