Beto O’Rourke is running against incumbent Senator Ted Cruz. The issue has become a main talking point in the Texas Senate race.
The talk show host retweeted a video of O’Rourke talking about why he supports the National Football League players who took a knew during the national anthem.

On Monday, Cruz’s campaign published a video on YouTube addressing the issue by telling the story about a retired Marine who lost both of his legs after he stepped on a landmine while serving in Vietnam.
“I gave my two legs for this county, I am not able to stand. But I sure expect for you to stand for me when that national anthem is being played,” Marine Corps Sgt. Tim Lee (ret.) said at the end of the video.
