A mother and daughter killed in a Friday night shooting on Mary Street have been identified.
According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s office, 44-year-old Carolyn Ann Pena and 27-year-old Carolyn Cantu died Friday from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say the shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 2900 block of Mary Street August 17.
29-year-old Joe Angel Guerrero was arrested on Sunday and charged with the murders of Pena and Cantu.
A third victim, who has not yet been identified was also shot during the incident and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
