Corpus Christi Police are investigating an assault on Mary Street that left one man dead.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Mary Street shortly after 5 p.m. on a report of an assault and possible overdose.
Police say the man was rushed to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police describe the victim as a white male, about 58 or 59 years old. No information was made available about possible suspects in the assault.
