A partnership that began three years ago continues to help out young diabetic patients in the Corpus Christi area.
Precinct 4 County Commissioner Brent Chesney presented a $40,000 check to the American Diabetes Association Friday. The money was raised in the Sand Castle Run held last month.
That money will make it possible for at least 50 kids with TYPE I Diabetes to attend Camp Aranzazu in Rockport. At the four day camp held in June, kids learn how to manage their illness.
