The City of Corpus Christi has ended its grace period for paying outstanding utility bills.
The City hasn’t started sending out disconnect notices just yet. That means customers have time to resolve their delinquent accounts and even set up a payment plan if needed.
The grace period was put into place following the city’s utility billing issues that date back to last year. This allowed people to avoid additional penalties and fees for our outstanding balances. Now that courtesy is over. However, if customers have a delinquent bill, they can still call the city next week to make payment arrangements.
However, starting July 8th, the City will begin sending out delinquent notices that will include the last day customers need to pay before their service is disconnected.
