Teen in jail for allegedly making threat against high school

Corpus Christi Police has revealed the identity of the suspect in yesterday’s threat against Veterans Memorial High School.

17-year-old Joshua Charles is still in custody at the Nueces County Jail.  Charles is believed to have posted a video on SnapChat depicting a gun in a person’s lap while driving alongside Veterans Memorial High School.  Charles is a former Veterans High School student who transferred to Tuloso Midway.

The Corpus Christi Police Department released a statement reminding everyone that all threats including those meant to be pranks are taken seriously and have serious consequences.  They also ask anyone with information on threats or pranks to contact police or campus administrators immediately.
