A man is in the hospital tonight after being shot by a Portland police officer.
The officer involved shooting occurred shortly before 6 p.m. tonight in the 1000 block of Memorial Parkway. A policeman shot a man who was armed with a couple of knives.
The gunshot victim was taken to a Corpus Christi hospital. There’s no word on his condition. Police say a woman was at the scene of the disturbance with injuries. There is no information on what caused her injuries or her condition.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.
