The community is invited to attend the 30th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing.
The event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Exhibition Hall at the American Bank Center.
Volunteers spent their Friday prepping food and decorating the venue.
Organizers say they will serve 2,500 pounds of ham, 2,000 pounds of mashed potatoes and green beans and 700 pies. They expect to serve as many as 10,000 meals.
But the feast includes more than just good food.
“You’ve got live entertainment, you got Santa Claus here for the kids, a bunch of family type activities and resources for the families if needed,” says mobile kitchen manager Bill Mosley. “It’s just kind of a great day for everything; everyone leaves here with a smile on their face.”
