Medical Waste facility proposed on the city’s west side

File Pro is primarily known as a company that sores, files and shreds documents has filed an application to conduct a medical waste treatment facility in a building located on the corner of Port and Lipan.

A hand full of residents are protesting File Pro’s move and say the public has until the 24th of this month to file a formal protest.

Amy Hesseltine at L-V-N-Engineering, the firm working with File Pro agrees the facility would handle medical waste products including blood and needles.

But adds the waste would be treated and sterilized before being hauled off to a landfill. and poses no risk to the public.
