There are mosquito trap locations through Nueces County and one of the traps located in Agua Dulce had a positive result for West Nile virus.
County Commissioner John Marez said, “its the only positive result out of all the traps we have in Nueces County.”
Marez also says the County is on top of it, “we are going to keep on spraying it until the threat is gone until we find no more threats for West Nile.”
Agua Dulce residents and those working in town are aware, but are not going to panic.
“Not too worried, mostly on the outskirts of Dulce as long as we keep spraying and keep the vector control coming through and keeping -plenty of repellent on and keeping it in stock in out stores I think well do fine,” said Jerry, an Agua Dulce resident.
Pete is doing work in the area said, “were coming well prepared and we are spraying our self down so we don’t get be it by the Agua Dulce mosquitoes who carry that nasty virus.”
