The Purple Heart is here for Heros Cup Weekend .
“I was a Bradley Commander on a QRF mission and I stood up for 2 ot 3 seconds and I was shot in the back of my head. The entire right side of my face has been totally reconstructed. I have over 90 surgeries on my face alone. I was paralyzed completely on the left side of my body. They told me my mother and my wife that I would never walk talk or see again,” said March.
Warriors Weekend is an annual event in Rockport. It brings in 30 wounded veterans throughout the state of Texas.
The guys have a busy schedule. They have visited schools, had a parade and are out fishing today.
March enjoys the company of other veterans. They bond as wounded heros.
“Every body can relate to each other. We tell stories, cause some have phenomenal stories. Were they were in Iraq and Afghanistan, where they weren’t and how they are lining their lives now,” said March.
