PREMONT- A man is in custody tonight after a standoff with hundreds of policemen that took several hours.  Twenty-two-year-old Michael Rivas of Premont was arrested and will be booked at the Jim Wells County Jail.

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Premont police was called at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday for a domestic incident at a home on NE 4th Street in Premont.  When officers arrived on the scene this morning, a male suspect was in front of the house holding a rifle.
