A military veteran was laid to rest today with his brother in arms there to honor him. The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery asked the public for their attendance at the funeral of Navy veteran Arthur Brooks.
He was 77 years old and served in the Vietnam War. The cemetery could not find any relatives to attend the funeral so a public notice was made last week. Some of his close friends were present to bid him farewell and thank him for his service.
