The bronze statue taken from the Art Center of Corpus Christi is back in its original spot.
The statue of Shirley Durrill was reinstalled Wednesday morning outside of the facility on the 100 block of North Shoreline Boulevard.
On Friday, the statue, which sits outside of the Art Center, was reported missing. The following day, the statue was found in the bay right in front of the Art Center.
Art Center officials say a donor made arrangements to have it welded more securely outside of the Art Center. They’ve also taken additional security measures to make sure it’s not taken again.
Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in connection with last week’s incident.
