Korean War veterans were the guests of honor at the Korean Presbyterian Church on McArdle.
A commemoration was held there to mark the 68th anniversary of the start of the Korean War. One Marine veteran told us that while he’s proud to be honored, this day really belongs to those who didn’t come home.
"A lot of their sacrifices got me to where I am, I tried to live up to their expectations, I hope I have. I hope I carried my share of the load," said Harry Alfeo, a Korean War veteran.
Today’s event was sponsored by the local Korean Chamber of Commerce.
