There are pickled flavor potato chips, pickle flavored slushies and now, pickle lovers will get to enjoy pickle fried chicken. KFC shared the news of their new menu item with a bragging note that they are the first to introduce the pickle-flavored fried chicken to the masses.
KFC claims they decided on this new fusion of flavors because of the many requests for the quick service food chain to add more pickles to the chicken. So the company says that they took the Extra Crispy ™ Chicken and coated it in pickle sauce that according to a press release includes onion and garlic notes, buttermilk and a white and black pepper blend.
The new flavor is for a very limited time and will be available in a variety of options on June 25 until it runs out.
