Murder suspect wanted for death of Yvonne Villanueva

CORPUS CHRISTI – Corpus Christi Police are looking for a man wanted in the murder of Yvonne Villanueva.  Villanueva was identified earlier today as the body found yesterday near Petronila.

According to the CCPD Blotter, they received information on Sunday, June 10th that a murder may have happened at a home on the 4900 block of Weber Road.  Investigators were informed that 28-year-old Yvonne Villanueva was missing and foul play was suspected.

Villanueva was reported missing on June 11, 2018 though family say they last saw her on June 4th.

A murder warrant has been issued for 49-year-old, Trinidad Perez, with a $500,000 bond. 

Police are describing Perez as a known associate of the victim. He is described as a Hispanic male,  5’08”, 220 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

The investigation is ongoing.  A toxicology report for Villanueva’s body is pending from the medical examiner.
