If you are looking for someplace that your child can be safe and cool this summer, look no further than the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend.

All in all,  about 250 kids take part in the program.

"We bring kids in from London ISD and Robstown ISD as as well," said Joe Guzman, Director of Athletics.

"When they come in here they get to experience quite a few things.  They’ve got from our gymnasium and out athletics program to art to out learning center to our media, we try to give them a wide variety of activities they can experience," Guzman continued.

Nathaniel Garza has been coming to the Boys and Girls Club for about three years and loves to hang out with his friends.

One new thing the Boys and Girls cub is initiating is indoor soccer.

In July, the club will launch the first ever indoor soccer league in Coprus Christi.

"We know in the Texas heat right now it is way too hot fir us us to be outside so we are able to get our players out herein the ac into our nice full sized gym and provide a program here that the city hasn’t really seen before," said Guzman.
