CORPUS CHRISTI – Construction signs are usually a sign of progress.
But some business owners along Chaparral Street say blocked-off streets are hurting their bottom line.
According to some downtown business owners, since cars can’t drive past their business, they have lost up to 80 % of their customers on week nights.
The Downtown Management District is working on a plan to help businesses affected by the construction.
The work on Chaparral should be finished by October.
