CORPUS CHRISTI – A suspected hit-and-run driver is in jail today following two separate accidents.
Jesus Garcia Jr. is charged with possession of marijuana and driving whole intoxicated. According to police, he clipped the rear end of a SUV on Crosstown near the Gollihar exit this morning.
The driver of the SUV got off the freeway and pulled into the O’Reilly’s at Horne Road. She tried to get the suspect’s license plate number but he ran a red light and while doing so hit a suburban with a woman and her son that was going through the intersection.
The suburban rolled and the suspect took off. The suspect was arrested later in the day. No one was hurt in either of the accidents.
