A pregnant woman was taken to a hospital after reportedly being shot in a Corpus Christi neighborhood.
Police said the incident happened in the neighborhood near the intersection of 17th Street and McKenzie Street at around 7 p.m. Saturday evening.
Investigators said a dispute of some kind led to a pregnant woman being shot. She and another person fled the scene in one vehicle to seek help, while a suspect who allegedly fired the shot fled in another vehicle.
The victim traveled to Ayers and Baldwin where first responders found and transported her to a local hospital. She was said to be in good condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 888-TIPS.
Investigators described a suspect vehicle as a white Chevrolet Avalanche with a black tailgate.
