There is a high risk of rip currents today along all of our Gulf-facing beaches. These rip currents are dangerous, even strong enough to pull in an experienced swimmer. Although rip currents can occur anywhere, they are especially likely around piers and jetties.
If caught in a rip current remember to wave, yell, and swim parallel to the shore.
