CORPUS CHRISTI – Las Donas de la Corte will be hosting a Gallery Talk at the Art Center of Corpus Christi on Wednesday, May 16 at 5:30pm.
Several members of Las Donas de la Corte and members of the Coronation Court will be available to discuss the creation process of the court robes.
The 18 month long process results in the works of art you can see on display at the Art Center until June 3.
Each year, the court has a specific theme for the Coronation.
This year, they are celebrating the Magnificent Decorative Arts. Inspired by architects and interior designers, each dress represents a specific decorative item, element, maker or movement in the rich history of decorative arts from around world.
This Gallery Talk will give a rare behind the scenes look at the research, design process and creation of the 2018 Coronation Robes.
There is no fee for the gallery talk.
