Spring-like weather pattern continues

Posted
and last updated

The warm, humid weather pattern will continue this weekend and for much of next week with a lot of cloud cover and breezy afternoons. Beaches will reach into the lower 70s with only peeks of afternoon sunshine while inland areas will reach into the mid to upper 80s with some afternoon sunshine. Nights won't cool much, only dropping into the upper 60s to 70 degrees under cloudy skies. Except for a few sprinkles or brief light overnight shower, it looks mainly dry. Later next week a cold front will drop into south-central Texas and could send a few showers or t-storms toward our area but it still looks like most rain will stay to our north. Medium range forecast models show us in a warm weather pattern into the last week of March with a better chance of above average temperatures.

Weekend: Morning clouds will break up to partly cloudy skies inland but beaches will stay mostly cloudy with high temperatures reaching the low to mid 70s at the beaches to the upper 80s well inland. Corpus Christi will reach the lower 80s with southeast winds increasing to 20 mph in the afternoons. Nights will stay warm with lows near 70.

Monday: Mostly cloudy and continued warm and humid with a breezy afternoon. Highs will reach the low 70s at the beaches to the mid 80s inland.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, warm and humid with a spot shower chance and highs from the low 70s to the upper 80s.
