We'll see some rain and slightly cooler weather as we head into the weekend as moisture increases ahead of a tropical wave moving in from the Gulf.

Showers and t-storms will be widely scattered Friday and scattered to numerous Saturday with pockets of heavy rain.

Today, we'll see a few showers and t-storms around the Coastal Bend with a high of 93 in Corpus Christi, mid-90s inland to upper 80s beaches, and east winds at 8-15 mph this afternoon. Heat indices will reach 102-108.

Showers and t-storms will be scattered Saturday with locally heavy rainfall possible. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80s to low 90s with east winds at 8-15 mph.

Sunday and Monday look drier with only isolated t-showers and hotter with highs in the low to mid-90s.

A stronger cold front is forecast to arrive early next Wednesday giving us a chance of rain followed by much cooler air with highs in the low to mid-80s late next week with nights dipping into the low 60s with possible upper 50s by Friday morning.
