After some record-setting heat this weekend, temperatures will come down slightly for the first half of the week and take a big drop to end the week as a stronger cold front moves through late Thursday.

We'll remain mainly dry this week with only an isolated shower chance late Thursday with the front.

We'll have morning fog in our inland areas early Monday and a mostly sunny and hot afternoon with high temperatures in the lower 90s with 94 in Corpus Christi. Winds will stay under 12 mph from the south, shifting to the east in the afternoon and northeast overnight as a weak front moves through.

A few clouds will move through with the front overnight with lows near 70.

Tuesday looks mostly sunny and still hot with a high of 91 and light northeast winds shifting to the east up to 10 mph.

Wednesday and Thursday will still be hot with a high near 90. A strong cold front moves through Thursday night bringing a slight rain chance and dropping temperatures into the 70s for highs on Friday with breezy northwesterly winds to end the workweek.
