There is no relief in sight from the sweltering heat and humidity as the weather pattern remains the same. The high pressure area aloft will continue to drift over Texas and stick around through next week. A Heat Advisory will likely be issued each day through early next week as heat indices climb to 110 or higher each day.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, warm and muggy with lows in the upper 70s to low 80s and southeast winds at 10-18 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, breezy, hot and humid with highs near 90 at the beaches to the upper 90s in Corpus Christi and 100-105 inland. Southeast winds will increase to 20-25 mph in the afternoon and early evening with gusts up to 30 mph.

Weekend: Mostly sunny with oppressive heat as high temperatures reach 90 at the beaches to near 100 in Corpus Christi and 101-106 inland with heat indices as high as 116 degrees.
