We'll get a break from the heat as a cold front sweeps through south Texas late tonight, dropping temperatures considerably for Friday with clouds and breezy northerly winds.

Widely scattered showers are expected but rainfall amounts will be low and spotty. Warmer weather moves back in this weekend with highs climbing into the upper 80s Sunday.

For today, we'll be hot once again with a high of 93 and southeast winds at 10-18 mph under partly cloudy skies.

A few light showers are possible tonight as a cold front moves in after midnight with lows dropping into the 60s by Friday morning.

Friday will stay cloudy and much cooler with a high of 76 and northeast winds at 12-22 mph and a slight chance of showers.

Clouds will clear Saturday to mostly sunny skies with a high of 82 and northeast winds shifting to the southeast under 15 mph.
