The crack of the baseball bat and balls snapping into gloves were heard today at Whataburger Field for the first time since March.
While there will be no Corpus Christi Hooks baseball season in 2020 due to the coronavirus, players took the field today at their home stadium.
Whataburger Field is playing host to the Houston Astros’ taxi squad during Major League Baseball’s 60-game season.
The taxi squad consists of 30 players who could be called up to the Major League team during the 2020 season.
